There is plenty of water-based fun to be had at this large campsite.

Apart from the large lake next to Parelstrand, the site itself also has a lake for rowing and another for fishing. There's also a duck pond! Children will enjoy themselves in the large swimming pool that has a 85 metre high waterslide. Young children will have fun in the shallow pool that has plenty of toys for them. The main attraction of this campsite is the large leisure lake with its sandy beach where small children can build sandcastles and teanagers will enjoy playing beach volleyball. The Hengelhoef campsite is 38km away and is owned by the same group. Here you will find a large tropical pool paradise which all guests at Parelstrand guests can use for free.

Parelstrand is located in the countryside of Lage Kempen, north of Lommel and not far from the Dutch border. It is great for cycling as there are numerous well-signed routes that lead through the varied landscape. Areas such as Kattenbos and the Lommelse Sahara, which is like a desert, make for interesting scenery as you cycle along. Children will enjoy Bobbejaanland and the indoor Plopsaland in Hasselt (41km). Further away, across the Dutch border, is the large De Efteling theme park. Lommel is a good place for shopping, as are Mol, Genk, Tongeren and Sint Truiden. Hasselt is a bustling town with plenty to offer.
