The camp site is located in the Jura the beautiful and charming area that lies partly in eastern France and partly in Switzerland. Les Bords de Loue means 'on the banks of the Loue'. The level camp site borders on the clear River Loue. Some pitches are almost right on the lovely private pebble beach by the water. The children will love playing, swimming and building dams in the shallow water. Don't forget your fishing rod and the inflatable boat for exciting trips of discovery.

This campsite is open plan with no divide between pitches giving the site a spacious atmosphere. The river Loue runs the length of the campsite and is very shallow near the pebbled beaches. Also there's no real current in this part of the river so children can play safely.

The children will enjoy themselves in the (fenced in) swimming pool, the separate toddlers' pool and in the playground. Meanwhile you can enjoy a round of tennis or have a drink at the bar.

There is a golf course close by (1 km) and bikes can be rented. There is endless walking and cycling in the enormous Forêt de Chaux. Parcey is located on the west part of the Jura, not far from the adjoining Bourgogne. The picturesque town of Dôle is just a 7 km drive. It has an aquapark with a lovely water slide!

In the varied landscape between Dijon and Lake Geneva you will find green hills, attractive villages and cities. It's a great walking area. This is the Jura region, which is also called the area of 1000 lakes. The Loue is one of the most beautiful rivers in north-east France and is popular with canoeists.

Visit the stalactite caves and the underground rivers of Baume-en-Arbois. The spectacular spring of the Loue originates from a rock. Close by is the city Dole. Enjoy an interesting day out at the 18th century salt factory of Arc-en-Senans, which was built by the architect Ledoux. Enjoy a day at Lake Geneva. From the last mountain ridge on the French/Swiss border is a magnificent view of the lake and the rising Alps.
