La Forge de Ste. Marie*****
Part of the excellent ‘Castels’ group, this parc is ideal for overnight stops and longer stays alike. In either case, you are assured of a warm welcome. La Forge de Sainte Marie is a luxury 4 star campsite nearby Joinville and set in a beautiful woodland area. This is a peaceful campsite and has Dutch owners. The indoor swimming pool is located in a 300 year old renovated ‘Smithy’. The ‘gîtes’ you can rent are located in the 300 year old ‘labour cottages’. The heart of the campsite is the terrace of the Bar where you can overlook the beautiful view over the lake (where you can fish trout if you fancy). In the area you can visit the largest reservoir of Europe (Lac du Der) or amusement park Nigloland. Also don’t forget to taste the local wine or champagne. This campsite offers you peace and quiet, a beautiful countryside for walks and a well deserved break away from it all.
