Entertainment is of a high standard with a wide range of both indoor and outdoor activities. There are shows, theatre, bingo, karaoke and discos for children of all ages. The owner has another campsite called Hengelhoef just 27km away that has a large tropical pool paradise. Guests from Blauwe Meer are allowed free entrance to this too.
Lommel is situated in the Belgian province of Limburg, not far from the Dutch border. Eindhoven airport is conveniently nearby for people taking a low cost flight. Lommel is a pleasant city with a welcoming market square, a characteristic windmill and an old fashioned mayor's house, which was once a villa built in 1898 but is now restored and used as a tourist information centre. The countryside is perfect for walking and cycling with beautiful forests and the vast areas of moorland. The Flemish Kempenland is ideal for a family day out. The ancient city of Hasselt is lovely with a friendly city centre featuring a good selection of shops, museums and historic buildings. An indoor Plopsaland theme park is 41km located in Hasselt, which is great for young children. Another option for a day trip is the Bokrijk open air museum.
